Doolin

Fitzpatrick's Pub    rate 8+/10

 

When (and if) I will have arrive to tell you about Doolin, you will learn that Doolin is just two streets....but it is so well-known because from there you can take a ferry to the Aran Islands (done!)...you can walk up to the Cliffs of Moher (done!) and it is the cradle of some of the best Irish musicians.

 

The day of the Cliffs of Moher I was all the day out....walked more that 20 km and went back to the B&B at 8 pm...

 

The time to have a shower,...and trying to be at a pub before 9:30..(the kitchens in most of the Irish pub close at 9:30)....which was meaning not having the possibility to look for the pubs listed in the guide (whose advise I always follow and like..)

 

So I enter in the Fitzpatrick's Pub...

 

Nice atmosphere...relaxing...I had a big table for me...as the room for the restaurant was getting empty...(and in the meantime the other room, that where the music was scheduled) was getting full..

I had the "24 hour slow cooked bellied rib of pork, sticky sauce, side of choice"...and it is probably clearer to know what it was from the photo! :)...Anyway, very good! :)

While I was eating the music started, and this was also pleasant.

 

I did not stay longer as I was getting tired...but I guess the music and the fun lasted long as people were continuing arriving when I left!! :)
